Our secluded location overlooks the
Manitowish River and Northern Highland State Forest. Boulder Lake occupies 524 acres that offer excellent fishing and other water related activities. The Manitowish River offers
44 miles of scenic beauty for the canoeing enthusiast.
The Boulder River Retreat is a 2,000 square foot two unit duplex that can accommodate two
families, large families, or groups. Each unit has two bedrooms and sofa beds and can sleep four to six persons comfortably. Each unit has a color TV, VCR / DVD player, refrigerator, stove and microwave.
Boulder River Retreat offers year round accommodations. Our warm weather guests enjoy fishing, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, bicycling and hiking. In addition, there are rowboats, canoes and kayaks available to our guests. Our colder weather guests can enjoy hunting, cross-country skiing, ice fishing and snowmobiling. We are located on the snowmobile trails and our location within the Lake Superior Snow Belt means plenty of snow.

northern city limits:
Highway 51 north 5-1/2 miles to Highway M.
Turn right on Highway M for approximately 10 miles to Boulder Junction.
Continue going west out of Boulder Junction on Highway K for
approximately 3 miles to Wool Lake Lane.
Turn right on Wool Lake Lane for 1/2 mile and follow our signs.

Turn right on Highway H for approximately 4.8 miles to Highway
K.
Turn left on Highway K for 1/2 mile to Wool Lake Lane.
Turn right on Wool Lake Lane for 1/ 2 mile and follow our signs.
